TCAT welding program receives donation of stainless steel pipe

A former TCAT Elizabethton welding graduate who is Quality Control Welding inspector for Industrial Reliability & Repair of Kingsport has donated a sizable amount of stainless steel pipe to the TCAT welding program, according to Dale Hicks, welding instructor.  The firm does Industrial/Commercial Construction and maintenance and employs pipe welders, structural welders, millwrights, and pipe fitters, he said.  College President David Hicks said, “We appreciate the continued relationships with local businesses and industry in the Northeast Tennessee region. Industrial Reliability and Repair of Kingsport’s generosity is another example of the positive partnerships we enjoy with industries in our area, and we will fully utilize their donation toward training our workforce!”
