TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) will meet at First Baptist Church, 212 East F St., Elizabethton. Weigh-in begins at 5:30-6:30 p.m. with the meeting starting at 6:45 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend these meetings. Boozy Creek Community Center, 1989 Shelleys Road, Bristol, Va., will have a Thanksgiving meal at 4 p.m. Boozy Creek volunteers annually prepare a traditional Thanksgiving meal of turkey, ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, dressing, sweet potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce, deviled eggs, slaw, dinner rolls, and a large assortment of homemade desserts and drinks. Music will be provided by “Tennessee Backroads” from 5 to 6:30 p.m. This event is usually the largest attended meal of the year. Come early and enjoy a great evening with friends at Boozy Creek.
