Main Street Elizabethton invites everyone to celebrate the 2022 holiday season and the 13th Annual Small Business Saturday in Downtown Elizabethton on Saturday, Nov. 26, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Created by American Express, Small Business Saturday celebrates the impact small businesses have on communities across the country. More than 20 participating businesses will celebrate this special day with extended shopping hours and deals to help everyone find loved ones the perfect gift this holiday season.
Businesses will feature sales and giveaways to show their appreciation for shopping small. The holidays are all about giving — and the best gift you can give local businesses in your support!
Some of these special features include the following:

Northeast Community Credit Union will be set up in the breezeway next to Sweetsie Treatz with free shopping tote bags.

The Curious Moon will offer BOGO half off on all in-house poured candles.

August Muse will host a Holiday Market, featuring local artisans and crafters.

Kim’s Coffee & Espresso will offer 10 percent off all purchases to keep you warm as you shop.

The Elizabethton Chamber will host a pop-up shop with local vendors from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Clock Stop will feature 25 percent off clocks and provide complimentary hot chocolate.

Cannon’s Fine Home Furnishings will feature 50 percent off all furniture and $200 off Traeger grills.

In addition to shopping and dining for Small Business Saturday, Carter County Bank will present Skate by the Doe, Elizabethton’s open-air ice-skating experience. Kick-off is Saturday at 3 p.m. in Covered Bridge Park. Book admission online at skatebythedoe.com to reserve your spot (brought to you by Elizabethton Chamber and City of Elizabethton Parks and Recreation).
To continue the holiday celebrations, City of Elizabethton Parks and Recreation will host an outdoor movie event featuring “Elf” at Edward’s Island Park. Festivities begin at 5 p.m. with free spaghetti for kids (while supplies last), courtesy of Dino’s restaurant, and all the sweet elf fixings to top it off!
Santa, Mrs. Claus and Buddy the Elf will be making special appearances. Bring a lawn chair and blankets for comfortable and warm seating. This free community event is sponsored by Carter County Bank.
