President Biden on December 13, 2022 signed the evil so-called “Respect for Marriage Act.”
The law overturns the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act that had said marriage is one man and one woman. The new law was passed with some Republican support. However the new law was passed over the objections of most Republicans because it didn’t include safeguards for religious institutions, businesses and individuals. The IRS could revoke the tax exemption of religious organizations that disagree with same-sex marriage. Government agencies could exclude religious schools from eligibility for public benefits. Government agencies could exclude religious organizations from using public facilities or property. Faith based adoption and foster agencies may be forced to shut their doors. The Heritage Foundation says, “This law puts a giant target on the backs of people of faith who rightly believe marriage is between one man and one woman.” It’s deceptively titled “Respect for Marriage Act.” It should be called “The Removal of Religious Liberty on Marriage Act.”
It could also be called, “The Redefined Marriage Act.” After being pushed by Obama and Biden in June 2015 the U.S. Supreme Court made same-sex marriage a right in America. However with the signing of the Respect for Marriage Act for the first time in the history of America all three branches of the U.S. government are in support of same-sex marriage. What a dark, sad day for America. The U.S. is at its most degenerate/reprobate (Romans 1) point in history! Now the U.S. government wrongly punishes and discourages the disabled from getting married by cutting off their medical insurance that might cause them to die if they get married. However the U.S. government encourages and celebrates same-sex marriage and encourages children to be mutilated if they feel they want to transition to a different gender!
Every major religion for over 5000 years didn’t allow same-sex marriage and has viewed homosexuality as unnatural, physically harmful and a moral offense against a God who created a male and a female and told them to, “fill the earth.” I agree with the black leader who said, “the institution of marriage in human history has always been for the purpose of procreation and socialization and two people of the same sex can’t fill either bill.” People wrongly believe homosexuals only want marriage equality. A sociologist who studied countries which have allowed homosexual marriages for a long time found homosexual marriage devalued marriage and has contributed to the virtual disappearance of real marriages in these countries. Few male homosexual couples have gotten married in these countries and gay activists admitted their real goal wasn’t marriage but social approval for homosexuality, legal approval and power. A major LGBTQ goal is to lower the age of consent which takes away parent rights. One LGBTQ activist said she hated marriage and wanted to destroy marriage!
The greatest negative effect will be on our children because same-sex marriage is law. We will see more required brainwashing of school children to embrace and celebrate homosexuality marriage. Some of the books to indoctrinate children are “Heather has two Mommies,” “King and King,” “And Tango makes Three,” “Jack and Jim” and “Daddy’s New Roommate.” Some of these books are in our East Tennessee public libraries and are being checked out by children! It’s ironic homosexuals who preach tolerance and diversity are the least tolerant and diverse of all. Homosexuals demand respect for their right of sexual freedom while they don’t respect Christians’ religious and speech freedoms that are constitutional rights. Homosexuals have had lawsuits against florists, bakeries and photographers. With the passing of the Respect for Marriage Act more lawsuits are coming and also attacks from the IRS on Christians. I have heard the IRS now has 87,000 new armed agents and after they attack farmers and shut them down they plan to attack Christians and others who disagree with same-sex marriage.
Homosexuals and their supporters in the major media call Christians who speak out against homosexuality as intolerant and hate filled because they don’t accept and celebrate two people “In Love.” Yet homosexuals don’t see how hypocritical they are because they don’t celebrate and accept Christians’ love for Jesus and the Bible as the most important love in their lives. Disagreement isn’t the same as hate. To disagree with what someone is doing doesn’t prove you fear or hate them. To love someone doesn’t mean you have to approve of everything that they do. You can love someone very much and still disapprove of what they are doing, as parents know. The Bible teaches homosexuality is like any other sinful temptation that God calls people to resist. The Bible teaches it’s the deliverance from temptation Christians and churches must celebrate, not its proud and eager embrace! As James 4 says, “Submit yourself to God, Resist the devil (demons) and he will flee from you!”
The Bible strongly condemns homosexuality in both the Old and New Testaments. God does have the right to take away a homosexual couple’s right to be joined in holy matrimony because only He decides what is holy. Only a marriage between a man and woman God can bless and what God has joined together let no man put asunder. In the same way what God has never allowed joined together let no man or court join together! The marriage model of one man and one woman is first given by God in Genesis 2 and repeated by Jesus in Matthew 19 and in Romans 1 Paul denounces homosexuality as a hallmark of a reprobate mind and a degenerate culture. Jude 1: 7 says homosexuality caused the judgment and destruction of Sodom and other cities. Dr. John McTernan said Jude 1:1 might be America’s epitaph. The ultimate national depravity spoke of in Isaiah 5 — calling what God calls good, evil and what God calls evil, good while the evil is celebrated. Abe Lincoln said, “if we call the dogs tail a leg, how many legs does a dog have?” In 2005 Hurricane Katrina stopped the homosexual festival called Southern Decadence and Hurricane Isaac (name means laughter) stopped Southern Decadence exactly seven years after Katrina. Hurricane Sandy hit six days after the New York State Court of Appeals approved homosexual marriage and the governor and mayor celebrated. It would be wise to not count on having electricity and have several months of food in your home so your family won’t have to dumpster dive as people in New York had to after Hurricane Sandy. Perry Stones says great tidal waves are going to hit America. Psalm 9:17 says, “The wicked shall be turned into Hell and all nations that forget God!” The Bible says only with the blood of Jesus covering our sins will we escape the wrath to come!
