New Liberty Free Will
The Rev. Wesley Duncan will preach his first message as the newly-elected pastor of New Liberty Free Will Baptist Church at the 11 a.m. worship service Sunday.
Everyone is invited to attend and support Pastor Duncan and his wife, Kim, as they begin their new ministry, kicking off the new year.
The church is located on Stoney Creek near the Stoney Creek Volunteer Fire Dept.
First Presbyterian
First Presbyterian Church, 119 W. F St., Elizabethton, will have both an in-person and online worship service Sunday, Jan. 1.
The pastor and congregation will celebrate the New Year with a reading from Ecc. 3: 1-14 and Rev. 21: 1-6 followed by a sermon from the Rev. Dr. Brian Wyatt titled “Ringing in the New.”
Everyone is invited to attend the service.
First Christian
Worship at First Christian Church, Elizabethton, on New Year’s Sunday will be at 9:45 a.m. Sunday School will follow with classes for all ages.
The church is located at 513 Hattie Ave.
Grace Baptist
Grace Baptist Church’s schedule of worship for New Year’s Day is Sunday School at 10 a.m. followed by a combined worship service at 11 a.m.
Bible study and prayer will be held on Wednesday nights at 6:30 p.m.
The Rev. Travis Tyler is pastor.
Long Hollow Baptist
Long Hollow Baptist Church, 358 Sims Hill Road, Elizabethton, will hold a New Year’s Eve Service on Saturday, Dec. 31, at 9 p.m. Everyone is welcome to come join us as we ring out the old year and bring in the new with singing, fellowship, the Word, and praise and worship.
There will be special singing by Jeff Millsaps, Everett & Cleda Garland, Sounds of Victory, Joel Crisp and others.
Visiting speaker will be Jason Millsaps.
A short intermission will be held halfway through the service where everyone will gather in the fellowship hall for coffee, soda, snacks and fellowship.
