Dale Hicks, senior welding instructor at the Tennessee College of Applied Technology Elizabethton, was presented the Certified Welding Inspector of the Year award by Gerald Austin, president of the Holston Valley Section of the American Welding Society, at a recent meeting at Tennessee Eastman in Kingsport. Meeting attendees included representatives from local industry, colleges and students, who toured welding and pipe fabrication shops at Eastman.
