Virginia Berry Wolfe, 93, Bluff City, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at Ivy Hall Nursing Home. She was born April 20, 1929 in Bluff City to the late Elmer “Shorty” and Dorothy Hodge Berry.
Virginia was a homemaker and loved to cook and quilt. She was a member of Bunker Hill Christian Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Edward Robert Wolfe, who passed away February 18, 2020; a sister, Juanita “Tootle” Carr; and two brothers, James and Ira Berry.
Survivors include her children, Vonnie and wife Vera, Wayne and wife Patty and Allen and wife Cheryl; a daughter, Sandy and husband David Feathers; one sister, Arlene “Sissy” Bullock; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 11, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with her grandsons, Ministers Jonathan Feathers, Evan Wolfe and Jordan Wolfe, officiating. Music will be provided by Maggie Booher, soloist. Graveside services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, March 12, in the Morrell Cemetery, Bluff City. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be her church family. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of Ivy Hall Nursing Home for the excellent care our mother received. To those who prefer, memorials may be made in memory of Mrs. Wolfe to the Bunker Hill Christian Church, 490 Bunker Hill Road, Bluff City, TN 37618. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday, prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 12:50 p.m. Sunday to go to the cemetery.
