JOHNSON CITY – The first episode of “Becoming Bucky” is here.

East Tennessee State University’s new reality show follows the story of ETSU’s quest to find its next mascot. This three-month long endeavor will result in naming a new Bucky. It marks ETSU’s first-ever mascot competition.

The first episode is available now on the ETSU YouTube channel or the ETSU Facebook page, where viewers can find an inside look at how it all goes down.

ETSU is also hosting an exclusive launch party to celebrate. Guests will get the chance to watch episode one, as well as receive a first-look showing of episode two.

The event will be held Wednesday, March 22, at 6 p.m. in The Cave, located inside the D.P. Culp Student Center. The evening includes free food, music, photo opportunities, music and more. The five finalists in contention to become the next Bucky will be in attendance, and will participate in a game of charades with ETSU President Dr. Brian Noland.
