Forget the bunny, Easter is going to the dogs!
The Elizabethton Parks and Recreation Department, Main Street Elizabethton, and the Elizabethton/Carter County Public Library are partnering together to bring a fun spin on the Easter holiday.
On Saturday, April 8, from 2 until 5 p.m., we invite you to join us for the UltiMUTT Pup & Strut – an Easter-themed event for you and your pups! Start your journey on the Tweetsie Trail beginning at Dairy Queen to encounter pet-friendly businesses and non-profits along the trail, pick up some fun promotions and enter to win prizes while making your way to Downtown Elizabethton.
Take time to explore pet-friendly shops and eateries as you continue your journey through Downtown Elizabethton. Check out what Main Street Elizabethton is working on to make our downtown more pet-friendly and inviting. Many shops will be offering special promotions, sales and giveaways throughout the afternoon.
End your day at Covered Bridge Park beginning at 4 p.m. and engage in activities such as the Easter Bone Hunt, have your pup compete for best dressed in our “Easter Best” dog pageant and capture photographs with your pup alongside the Easter Bunny. The Elizabethton Library will be giving away dog-themed books while supplies last and several pet-centered special guests will be joining us at the park!
