Milligan University senior Kaitlin Barrett, of Kingsport, will present a fine arts show running March 26-31. Her showcase, “Revelations of Technique and Simple Nature,” will hang in the Milligan Art Gallery, located in Derthick Hall.
Barrett’s show will feature a variety of mediums, including pencil, charcoal, colored pencil, watercolor and oil paint.
“I specifically enjoy creating flowers, animals and things of nature,” said Barrett on the exhibition. “The natural world makes me happy and fills a void in my heart, showing me that God has called me to create those things through art.”
An opening reception will be held Sunday, March 26, from 2-4 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
