April Fool’s Day is a good time to recognize fools. One atheist complained to a pastor that Christians have two holidays, Christmas and Easter but atheists have none. The pastor said you have April Fool’s Day.
The Bible in Psalms 14:1 says “The fool has said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that does good.” This was proven true as atheist leaders in China, Russia, North Korea and other Communist atheist countries have killed over 110 million people in the past century and continue to persecute Christians today. The official religion of China is atheism and they persecute other religions and require Christians to use a Communist version of the Bible. The Bible says in the last chapter if you add to the Bible, God will add plagues to you. Italy has added to the Bible wrongly saying works are required and Jesus isn’t enough. While atheists admit they don’t believe in the existence of any god, more and more Americans are behaving as fools. While not admitting they don’t believe in God they are behaving and acting as if they didn’t believe in any god or that they will be judged by God.
The Bible says everyone will have to answer to God for every word they have said. In Luke 12 Jesus tells the parable of the rich fool who was selfish and only concerned with himself. Our relationship with Jesus is the most important, not storing up riches. Paul said he counted everything as loss compared to to the worth of knowing Jesus. Professor Peter Kreeft said belief in God is more logical and rational than belief in nothing. Logic, reason and science support God. Atheism is stepped in blind faith. Nothing can create itself. Everything has a cause – including the earth and universe. Philosopher and theologian Thomas Aquinas said things move and nothing moves for no reason. Something must cause that movement. There must be a Mover to begin the motion in the universe since matter never moves itself. God is the cause and mover! Dr. Stephen Meyer spoke out against atheism and for intelligent design of humans and the universe.
Eric Metaxas said because of advances in science and our knowledge of the universe increased we now know there are over 200 known parameters necessary for a planet to support life and every one of them must be met perfectly or there is no life. For example, without a massive gravity strong planet like Jupiter near to draw away asteroids, Earth would be destroyed. Metaxas said the odds against life in the universe are astonishing. Metaxas asks, “can every one of those 200 plus parameters have been perfectly met by accident?” One of the world’s most renowned theoretical physicists, Paul Davies said, “the appearance of design is overwhelming.” Oxford University professor of Mathematics Dr. John Lennox said, “the more we get to know about our universe, the more the hypothesis that there is a Creator… gains in credibility as the best explanation of why we are here.” The DNA of every human has 3 billion parts and like vision is so complex it had to be designed. Dr. Behe said vision is irreducibly complex and any part missing and it won’t work. Vision could never evolve and had to be designed. God is the designer and creator!
Frank Pastore said there had to be four big bangs to create everything the way it is now. There was a cosmological big bang, biological big bang, anthropological big bang and psychological big bang. Pastore said, “you have a choice. It’s either faith in these four big bangs of somethings from nothings to account for what we see all around us, or faith in some kind of creator God behind it all.” The principal of causality is nothing begins without an adequate cause. The logical conclusion is since there was a Big Bang there must be a Big Banger. God is the the Big Banger!
One of my favorite movies was about atheist Lee Strobel. “The Case for Christ” a 2017 movie is the amazing true story of an atheist’s journey to salvation in Jesus. Atheist Lee Strobel is upset when his wife converts from their shared atheism to Christianity. Strobel decides to apply his newspaper journalistic investigative expertise to disprove the central core of the Christian faith: the resurrection of Jesus. Strobel found the evidence for the resurrection of Jesus to be overwhelming and Strobel had to examine his own biases and assumptions and he became a Christian.
One atheist said to a Christian pastor, “I don’t believe in a God I have never seen.” The pastor said, “have you seen your brains?” Atheists also believe in the coronavirus but they haven’t seen it. Cal Thomas said, “an atheist is guilty of the worst form of pride. He or she says that everyone else who believes in God and his Son (Jesus) for thousands of years was an idiot and only they are smart enough to have figured out there is no God.” World famous atheist Professor Richard Dawkins admitted he is actually agnostic because he can’t prove God doesn’t exist. Ray Comfort said, “you can lead an atheist to evidence but you can’t make him think.” Studies show most atheist people like most people locked up in prison had no father or an evil father. Some atheists say if there was a good God bad things wouldn’t happen to good people. The Bible says in this world you will have troubles. The Bible tells us there are no good people. The only time bad things happened to a good person was Jesus who volunteered and suffered and paid for our sins in full on the cross!” You can’t bank on your money always being there. You can bank on Jesus always being there. They can’t derail Jesus. Jesus is coming soon, you can bank on that. Seek the Lord (Jesus) while He may be found and call upon Him while He is near. Don’t be a fool!
