FCA Virginia All-Stars tops FCA Tennessee All-Stars

Ramsey named FCA Tennessee All-Star MVP

On April 6, 2023, Westridge High School played host to an epic basketball showdown between the FCA Tennessee All-Stars and FCA Virginia All-Stars. The high-energy game had fans on the edge of their seats as both teams put their skills and athleticism on display.
The FCA Tennessee All-Stars started strong, scoring several quick baskets to take the lead in the first quarter. However, Virginia was not to be outdone and made a comeback in the fourth quarter, led by Keslyn Seacreast, who scored a game-high 31 points.
Although the Tennessee All-Stars fought hard until the final buzzer, Virginia managed to maintain their slim lead, ultimately winning the game with a final score of 86-84. Despite the disappointment of the loss, the Tennessee All-Stars gave it their all and put on an exciting show for their fans.
The game showcased elite basketball skills, with both teams exhibiting impressive offensive and defensive excellence. The FCA Tennessee All-Stars featured talented players from Carter County and Elizabethton including Ella Benfield from Cloudland High School, Madison McClain from Hampton High School, Renna Lane and Lina Lyon from Elizabethton High School, and Lyndie Ramsey from Unaka High School. Ramsey was named the FCA Tennessee All-Star MVP after leading the team with 25 points and numerous rebounds. Lyon provided eight points and several assists and rebounds, while Lane dominated the boards and contributed six points. McClain accumulated ten assists and scored four points, while Benfield was a defensive powerhouse, with timely rebounds and defensive stops, and scored three points.
Overall, the game was a testament to these elite athletes’ exceptional talent and dedication, and both sides should be proud of their performances. The match-up showcased the power of sports to bring people together and inspire greatness, and we look forward to seeing what these incredible athletes will achieve in the future. Furthermore, with such talented players on both sides, it’s clear that the future of women’s basketball is in good hands.
