Marvin Ottis Estep, 67, Elizabethton, passed away Friday, April 7, 2023, at Signature Health Care. He was born February 28, 1956 in Carter County.
Marvin was a Millwright. He loved to fish and work in his garden. He was of the Free Will Baptist Faith.
He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Estep; a son, Mitchell Estep, who passed away January 27, 2023; a granddaughter, Madison Blevins; a special uncle, Ricky Taylor; and his companion of 28 years, Teresa McNeil, her daughter, Katrina Nye, and her two children, Dalton James and Jonathan Nye.
Survivors include his mother, Loretta “Ett” Taylor Estep; three sons, Maverick Estep, Jeremy Blevins and Benjamin Whitaker; three daughters, Melanie Curd, Malarie Guinn and Macie Odom; 12 grandchildren; one brother, Melvin Estep; his sisters, Debbie Davis and Ruth Ann Richardson; his special sister and caregiver, Marlene Steffey; his special friends, Josh Ensor, Joe Carrier, Ronnie Carrier, Tony Campbell, James Pierce, Bobby Blevins, Terry Bowers, Shady Blevins, and all his friends at the liar’s table; one special aunt, Burless Estep; two special uncles, Jerry and Paul Taylor; and the mother of his five children, Jennifer Estep.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Monday, April 10, in the Taylor Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 until 3 p.m. Monday before going to the cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at our website, www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
