Hampton’s McClain signs with Southwest Virginia Community College Flying Eagles

Throughout her time at Hampton, McClain played a vital role in the team’s success, scoring 1319 points over her four-year career. Additionally, she proved to be a prolific playmaker, snagging 301 steals and dishing out a school record of 717 assists. McClain acknowledged how crucial her teammates were in her career successes, stating, “I couldn’t have done any of this without my teammates. We were all determined to succeed this year, and I think we did. We’ve worked really hard and come a long way and I’m very proud of what we were able to accomplish.” The Lady Bulldogs had an outstanding season with 31 wins, tying a school record, and an appearance in the TSSAA State Championship Final Four.
McClain is thrilled to be taking the next step in her basketball career by continuing to play at the college level. She is eager to join the Flying Eagles team and contribute in any way possible.
“I’m extremely excited to be joining Southwest Virginia Community College,” McClain said. “I can’t wait to get started and help the team in any way that I can. I’m grateful for this opportunity, and I’m ready to work hard and make the most of it.”
McClain’s signing is a testament to her commitment and passion for basketball, as she has proven herself to be a talented player time and time again. With her addition to the team, the future looks bright for both her and the Southwest Virginia Community College Flying Eagles.
