Justus M. Brown, 19, was killed Monday morning when his car was struck on the Mary Patton Highway (State Route 362) by a car driven by Kellie D. Lawrence, 22. According to the accident report filed by the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Lawrence suffered injuries in the accident.
Lawrence was traveling south on SR 362 when her 2015 Subaru Crosstrek reportedly crossed the centerline and struck Brown’s vehicle, a 2015 Ford Taurus, head-on. Both drivers were reportedly wearing seatbelts.
According to the THP report, charges are pending. No further details were released.
