• Friday, May 5
The Elizabethton-Carter County Chamber of Commerce will have its annual Legislative Breakfast May 5 from 8 to 9 a.m. at the Tennessee College of Applied Technology campus, Elizabethton. The event is an opportunity for the community to enjoy breakfast, catered by The Coffee Company, and hear from elected officials. During the program local officials are invited to provide updates on key issues they have been working on and what their goals are for the future. Doors will open at 7:30 a.m. with the program beginning at 8 a.m. Tickets are also available for purchase in-person at the Elizabethton/Carter County Chamber of Commerce.

Boozy Creek Community Center, 1989 Shelleys Road, Bristol, Va., (276-466-0026) will hold a Fish and Chicken Meal at 4 p.m. Music will be provided by Danny Whited and Friends of Bluegrass from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The Center has been having great attendance, fantastic food and wonderful bands! The food is fantastic and the music is so good. We have been having great attendance. Come early and enjoy a great evening with friends at Boozy Creek. Door prizes will be given away by Cathy Baker.
