To the Editor:
Although there unfortunately was not an official announcement for the NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER meeting at the courthouse this year, we decided to go to there at noon in case others came.
Five other persons did join us. The seven of us prayed for our nation from noon until 1 p.m. The prayers covered our local, state and national leaders; the educational system, the judicial system, the law enforcement and EMS establishment, the problems with the media and the general decrease in the moral and ethical character of our society. Our final prayer is that next year we will return to a normal celebration.
This year was disappointing.
