JONESBOROUGH – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office Auxiliary plans on filling the front parking lot with a little something for everyone this Saturday in hopes of raising money for the Children’s Advocacy Center of the First Judicial District.
“We’ve wanted to host a Community Car Show for years, and everything aligned for this year,” said Captain Shawn Judy, who organized the event with Captain Randall Wines. “Our goal is to raise money to support our own community outreach programs and the efforts of the Children’s Advocacy Center.”
The free community event is from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., May 13. A limited number of spots for those wanting to enter the car show are still available. The cost is $20 if pre-registered by Friday. Those showing up the day of the show will pay $25 to enter. Both dash plaques and trophies will be awarded in the afternoon.
“We wanted to make this event something for everyone, so we added food trucks, craft vendors and live music,” Judy said. “Hollow Ground will play throughout the day along with Lynnae Moon.”
Food Trucks slated to set up for the event include: Trucky Cheese, Tri-Cities Roadhouse, Shane’s Place, Chilango, Wanderlust Coffee, What the Fluff and Appalachian Ice.
For more information regarding entering the car show, please contact Capt. Shawn Judy (423-791-5174) or Capt. Randall Wines (423-791-5165). A rain date will be determined if necessary.
