In only her second season as head coach at Cloudland,  former Unaka stand-out Corey Schuettler has led the Lady Landers to the District Title.  Behind the arm of Reagan Turbyfill, whose performance was on a professional level, allowing only one hit and two walks for a 14-0 win over the Rangers in the District Title game while striking out nine batters in the four-inning game.
The offense of the Landers was spot-on, pounding out 13 hits led by Ayla Horney, who was three for three and scored three runs while collecting an RBI.  Jayla Harper also scored three times in two at bats.  Abriella Jones had all two’s across the scoreboard.  She batted twice, scored twice, and had two hits and two RBIs.  Taylor Gibbs also scored two runs on one hit and collected an RBI.  In total of 24 at bats the Lady Landers scored 14 runs on 13 hits with only four strikeouts and two walks. Cloudland won the conference as well with an 8-0 record.  Turbyfill was also perfect in the conference with eight wins.
The Landers opened the game up with eight runs in the first inning; they scored one run in the second and five in the third to end the game holding the Rangers with all zeros. Unaka only batted 13 times, scoring no runs and only getting one hit.  Kelsey Pasquale was the lone Ranger with a hit, and McKenna Richardson walked twice for the only base-runners. Sadly Cloudland’s season came to a close on Saturday, losing to North Green in the Sectional.
