St. John Free Will
Revival will be begin at St. John Free Will Baptist Church, Roan Mountain, Monday, May 29, at 7 p.m.
The evangelists will be Richard Sheppard Jr. and Josh Hinkle.
The pastor, the Rev. Richard Sheppard Sr., invites the public to attend.
First Presbyterian
First Presbyterian Church, Elizabethton, will have both an in-person and online service Sunday, May 28, at 11 a.m.
The pastor, the Rev. Brian Wyatt, will present the sermon “Pentecost Practices” based on Acts 2: 41-41.
Meditation is held Wednesdays at 7 p.m. and Adult Forum is held at 9:30 a.m. Sunday in Martin Hall and on zoom.
Everyone is invited to services at the church.
Hopwood Christian
The Appalachian Trail Bluegrass Band will be at Hopwood Memorial Christian Church Sunday at 6 p.m. for a concert.
The church is located at 109 Hopwood Lane, Milligan College.
Appalachian Trail Bluegrass Band is a collective group of singers, musicians, and songwriters from Northeast Tennessee. The band has been invited to play at festivals across the U.S., riverboat weddings in Nashville, are regular guests at the infamous Carter Fold in Hiltons, Va., corporate parties, and have played the “Song of the Mountains” public television series three times. The band is diversified, choosing innovative and original material to record.
Wayland Free Will Baptist
Phillips & Banks will be at Wayland Free Will Baptist Church, 206 Harwood Road, Johnson City, Sunday at 6 p.m.
Phillips & Banks is a progressive southern gospel quartet from the beautiful mountains of East Tennessee. Married couples, Jacob and Carmen Phillips and Caleb and Autumn Banks, bring a collectively distinctive and smooth sound to their music that sets them apart. In October of 2017, the two couples forged the quartet with common backgrounds in worship leading and ministry performance arts. They strive to communicate the hope and forgiveness that can be found through a relationship with Jesus as well as encourage and spur on fellow believers to live for Him.
Pleasant Beach
Vacation Bible School will be held June 4-8 at Pleasant Beach Baptist Church from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. each day.
The theme of the Bible School is “Dig for God’s Truth.”
The Bible School is for ages five through 12th grade.
Special events and programs will be held for teenagers.
The church is located on Watauga Road.
