It is summertime and a great time to get outdoors and soak up the rays. On Saturday, June 24, 2023, at 9:00 AM Keep Carter County Beautiful will be holding the KCCB TDOT Adopt-A-Highway Summer Litter Cleanup. The cleanup takes place on Milligan Highway from Hwy 321 to Okolona Rd. Volunteers are asked to meet in the parking lot at the Happy Valley Elementary School at 9:00 AM.
KCCB will provide garbage bags, gloves, safety vests and grabbers. Volunteers are welcome to keep the grabbers if you plan on joining other cleanups in the area or want to go out and Trashercise your neighborhood. We will have bottled water for those that do not bring their own. The more volunteers, the faster the area is beautiful again.
You can find a map and information on our website at www.kccbtn.org/events. Please view the TOOT safety video on the events page before attending. This is a Tennessee Department of Transportation sponsored event, and we will adhere to all TOOT safety protocols.
All volunteers will be required to sign the TDOT waiver. Volunteers under the age of 18 will require a parent or guardian to sign the waiver for them.
