The Independence Day Celebration in Abingdon, Va., is on July 1. This year’s event promises an unforgettable day filled with live music, delicious food, engaging activities, a thrilling cornhole tournament with $1,000 in prizes, and an epic fireworks display at Latture Field around 9:30 p.m.
The festivities start with a diverse lineup of live music, including Adam Bolt and Caitlyn Krisco and the Broadcast. Food vendors will tantalize tastebuds with delectable treats and traditional favorites. History enthusiasts can immerse themselves in the past with reenactors bringing iconic moments to life.
Families will find plenty of fun for kids, including crafts and interactive experiences. The Magic of Dave Vaught will host two performances on the stage located at the Abingdon Farmers Market.
