Darrell Williams, 77, Elizabethton, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2023, at Johnson City Medical Center.
A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Clarence C. and Josephine Ritchie Williams.
Darrell was an Auto Body Detailer. He loved having muscles cars and going to the car show. He was of the Christian Faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin brother, Harold Williams, and a great-nephew, Billy “Peanut” Hilton.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Barbara Forbes Williams; a son and daughter-in-law, Darrell Wayne and Donna Williams; a grandson, Chris Whitehead; his brother and his wife, Clarence E. (Charlotte) Williams; two nieces, Kathy Hilton and Ann (James) Andrews; several great-nieces, nephews and cousins; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Randy and Nadine Forbes; his nephew and niece, Wesley and Megan Buckner; and his great-nephew, Caleb.
A graveside service for family and friends will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Rev. Carl Grindstaff officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family would like to express a special thank you to Dr. Jonathan Bremer and Staff at the ICU 2600 Wing, Johnson City Medical Center. Friends may register their presence at the funeral home from 12 noon until 5 p.m. Monday or Tuesday morning until 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
