The following arrests have been reported by the Johnson City Police Department:
On July 5, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested and charged Gregory Doyles, Decatur, Ga., with false reporting. Officers responded to 123 W. Millard St. in reference to a suspicious person. Upon officers’ arrival, they made contact with four individuals who advised a male was trying to hire them to cash checks for him. Officers located and made contact with the male. The male gave false information when identifying himself to hide the fact that he had an active warrant out for his arrest. Through further investigation, the male was eventually identified as Gregory Doyles Jr. Doyles is being held at the Washington County Detention Center in lieu of $5,000 bond. Arraignment was on July 6 in Washington County General Sessions Court.

On July 6, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested and charged Quinton J. Alexander, Johnson City, with being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm (two counts) and aggravated criminal trespassing.
Officers were dispatched to a shots fired call in the 2400 block of Mint Hill Road. The caller stated that a verbal argument ensued and a Washington County Dispatcher advised they heard gunshots while on the 911 phone call. Officers located Alexander a short distance away from the scene where he was taken into custody without incident. During a search of his person, officers located two handguns as well as ammunition. Alexander is a convicted felon making it illegal for him to possess any type of firearm. He had also been trespassed from all Housing Authority Properties in 2014.
Alexander was transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a $75,000 bond. Arraignment was on July 7 in Washington County General Sessions Court.

On July 6, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Frederick E. Parker, Johnson City, and charged him with aggravated assault. The investigation revealed that Parker had threatened to kill his neighbors while brandishing multiple edged weapons. A warrant was sworn out for Parker’s arrest, and he was taken into custody without incident.
Parker is currently being held at Washington County Detention Center in lieu of a $50,000 bond, with arraignment on July 7 in Washington County General Sessions Court.

On July 6, at 9:43 a.m., officers of the Johnson City Police Department observed Randy Bowman, Johnson City, for whom there were active warrants, in the 1700 block of W. Market St. A short foot pursuit ensued and Bowman was taken into custody. During the investigation, a large amount of methamphetamine and fentanyl were located. A small amount of marijuana was also located in a vehicle associated with Bowman.
Bowman was transported to the Washington County Detention Center and charged with manufacture/delivery/sell of a controlled substance, methamphetamine possession, misdemeanor evading arrest, and two counts of simple possession. Bowman’s bond was set at $23,000 and arraignment was on July 7.

On July 5, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Dominick Gonzalez, Telford, on a warrant for felony vandalism. On June 16 at 9 a.m., officers responded to the West Side Car Wash in reference to vandalism. An investigation revealed that Gonzalez and two other unknown males had written graffiti on the bay walls, causing extensive damage.
Gonzalez was arrested at the Washington County Detention Center, where he was held on a $6,500 bond. Arraignment was on July 6 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
