Nuclear Fuel Services’ Security Director, Natalie Willis, is among 30 emerging state leaders selected to participate in Leadership Tennessee’s NEXT Program. The program is designed to provide participants with in-depth personal and professional development while fostering a better understanding about the state’s most pressing issues.
Willis provides executive leadership and oversight for security at NFS in Erwin, which is a BWX Technologies, Inc. company. She has more than 20 years of experience, giving her a deep understanding of the site’s operations and requirements in addition to allowing her to foster an effective safely culture that is required for operations in NFS’ exacting, high consequence nuclear environment.
In 2022, Security magazine featured Willis as one of the top 12 women within the security industry in its 2022 Women in Security cover story. Willis also was named in a local business publication’s “40 Under Forty” listing for up-and-coming professionals with exceptional leadership and community impact potential.
She is an active member of Women in Nuclear and ASIS International, formerly known as the American Society for Industrial Security. Willis is a graduate of East Tennessee State University and holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She earned her Masters of Business Administration from King University in 2008. In her spare time, Willis volunteers for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), taking on individual cases to assist neglected and abused children in the court system. She also helps raise financial resources for the nonprofit.
