JONESBOROUGH – Washington County Sheriff’s Strike Team Deputies arrested Nolan McGee, 49, of Jonesborough, on July 18 and charged him with possession of methamphetamine for resale, identity theft and resisting arrest. McGee was also wanted by the United States Marshals Service on a federal parole violation.

According to Sheriff Keith Sexton, deputies from the Sheriff’s Strike Team conducted a traffic stop in Gray. McGee, when asked for his identification, provided identification for a deceased individual. He then resisted deputies and had to be assisted to the ground and handcuffed.

A search of McGee’s pockets revealed a knife and a medium-sized bag containing 30.2 grams of clear, crystal rock substance consistent in appearance to methamphetamine.
