The Deloach Family Reunion for the descendants of Emmert Doc and Wilda Deloach and their families and friends will be held at the Laurels Park picnic area, pavilion #1. Sycamore Shoals State Park will host a Gardening Seminar Series in the community room. The seminar is free to the public and will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. with Master Gardener Ben Hunter. The subject of the seminar will be a review of summer gardens – what went right and what went wrong. There will also be discussion on planting fall gardens as any kind of vegetable is better than weeds. Also, there will be discussion and instruction on pruning blackberries, blueberries, fruit trees, and renovation of strawberries.
Boozy Creek Community Center, 1989 Shelleys Road, Bristol, Va., (276-466-0026) will hold a Fish and Chicken Meal at 4 p.m. Music will be provided by the Steel Creek Band from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The food is fantastic food and the music is great. The Center has been having great attendance. Come early and enjoy an evening with friends at Boozy Creek. Door prizes will be given away at 4:45 p.m. by Cathy Baker.
