Tweetsie Trail Jams and the City of Elizabethton will host Casting Crowns with special guest Jordan Feliz in concert Saturday, Aug. 12, at 7 p.m. at Citizens Bank Stadium, Elizabethton High School.
With 11 million albums sold to date, Casting Crowns remains Billboard’s top selling act in Christian music since 2007. Their chart-topping songs – including “Who Am I,” “Voice of Truth,” “Praise You In This Storm,” “Just Be Held” and “Only Jesus” —have earned them nine No. 1 hits at radio and four RIAA Gold certified digital singles.
Casting Crowns is one of the most beloved Christian rock bands of today, incredibly popular both for their pop rock songs and their worship songs. Casting Crowns started in 1999 as a student worship band, led by Mark Hall. During this early era, Casting Crowns released two CDs that were meant to connect with the community in Atlanta, which they did to moderate success. Casting Crowns found commercial success when they signed to a label and released their self-titled debut studio album in 2003. They became an instant hit on the Christian rock scene, with their single “Voice of Truth” topping the charts. From then on, Casting Crowns continued to enjoy chart-topping record releases and sold-out concerts, winning both Grammy Awards and Dove Awards. They are one of the only American bands to have played in North Korea.
Recently they’ve released an album of hymns. A Casting Crowns concert is focused on the message of their songs, creating an environment for fans to enjoy their music in community.
Jordan Alexander Feliz is an American Christian musician who plays a folk rock and soul style of Christian pop. He has released four studio albums that have charted, along with several singles, on various Billboard charts.
