Linda Bradshaw Williams, 83, of Elizabethton, Tenn., went home to be with her Lord on Monday, July 31, 2023, at Ivy Hall Nursing Home of Elizabethton. Linda was born in Carter County to the late Samuel Jackson Bradshaw and Gladys Marie Ball Bradshaw. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Shelby Eugene Williams; a son-in-law, Kenneth Thomas; her brothers and sisters, Howard Bradshaw, Doris Loveless, Barbara Bradshaw and Darrell Bradshaw; a nephew, Cecil Bradshaw; her maternal grandmother, Minnie Martin; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Beatrice Williams.
Linda retired from North American Rayon Corporation and was a member of Beck Mountain Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and reading.
Those left to cherish Linda’s memory include her daughters, Sharon Thomas and Nina Hyder and husband Tommy, all of Elizabethton; four grandchildren, Cody Hyder and wife Kelly, Shelley Martin and husband David, Beth Powell and husband Brent and Suzanne Thomas James and husband Caleb, all of Elizabethton; seven great-grandchildren, Mason Hyder, Cooper Hyder, Jolie Martin, Lily Martin, Owen Powell, Juda Martin and Eli Powell; her sister-in-law, Vicky Bradshaw; her nieces and nephews, William Loveless, Theresa Bradshaw, Anna Loveless, John Bradshaw, Rob Bradshaw, Lois Shults Davis, Lynn Williams, Jeannie Williams, Cathy Bunton, Danny Williams and Vickie Martin; her cousins, Ray and Carol Ann Davis; and several other cousins as well as her best friend, Brenda Bare.
A graveside service to celebrate Linda’s life will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 9, at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Pastor David Martin officiating. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 9:50 a.m. Wednesday. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations in honor of Linda to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
