WCSO charges Fall Branch man with aggravated assault

JONESBOROUGH – Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Jimmie Crumley, 48, of Fall Branch, and charged him with aggravated assault – domestic.

According to Sheriff Keith Sexton, the incident occurred the afternoon of Aug. 2 in Fall Branch. Crumley and another individual were arguing outside the home when a juvenile came outside. During the confrontation, Crumley pointed a handgun at the juvenile and then struck him in the head with the gun. The other adult took the handgun away from Crumley, who then fled the scene in a vehicle belonging to the homeowner.

When deputies arrived, they located Crumley hiding behind a garage approximately a mile away from the scene. He was taken into custody without incident.

Crumley is being held in the Washington County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond. He was scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 3.
