RM Seventh-day Adventist
Roan Mountain Seventh-day Adventist Church and its pastor, Robert Larson, will present “Crossroads,” beginning Friday, Aug. 25, at 6:30 p.m. There will be seven nightly presentations at the Roan Mountain Community Fellowship Center, 510 Old Highway 143 (next to the Free Holiness Church).
The seven nightly messages will present a different perspective from those who were at the cross of Jesus and the dramatic change that occurred in their lives.
Those attending will participate in a simple, exciting Bible marking plan and will receive a new Bible.

Blue Springs Christian
Blue Springs Christian Church will have a one-day Bible school for ages up through middle school Saturday, Aug. 26, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The theme of the Bible school is “Ready, Set, Move…Follow Jesus Here, There and Everywhere”! The day will include Bible study, games, crafts, and food.
All children are invited, and for those needing a ride, call 474-2305.
The church is located at 107 Don Rominger Road. Andrew Church is minister.

Zion Baptist
Zion Baptist Church, 1962 Gap Creek Road, will host the First Annual Blue Ridge Jubilee, beginning Sunday, Aug. 13, and continuing through Friday, Aug. 18.
Guest speakers will include Dr. Ralph Sexton, Sunday and Monday; Dr. Joe Arthur, Monday; Dr. Kenny Baldwin, Tuesday; Evangelist Bill Sampson, Wednesday; Evangelist Brent Carr, Thursday; and Pastor CT Townsend, Friday.
Special music will be provided nightly by the church choir and the Sampsons. The Whisnants will sing at the Wednesday service.
Services will be at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday; and 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.
A nursery will be provided at each service.

Roan Street Free Will
Revival will begin Monday, Aug. 14, at the Roan Street Free Will Baptist Church with services nightly at 7 o’clock. The evangelist will be the Rev. Gordon Lewis of Erwin.
Special singing will be held at each service. Today, the Castles and the Harris Family will sing; Tuesday, the Roan Street Choir and singers; Wednesday, St. Paul Singers; Thursday, the Sams Family; and Friday, the Montgomerys.
The church is located at 820 N. Roan St., and everyone is invited.
The Rev. Donnie Harris is pastor.

First Presbyterian
First Presbyterian Church, Elizabethton, will have both an in-person and online service at 11 a.m. worship Sunday.
The guest speaker will be Melissa Tidwell, who will present the sermon “A Sense of Belonging,” based on Psalm 104: 1-4, 10-15 and John 7: 37-39.
Meditation will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. and Adult Forum will be at 8:30 a.m.
First Presbyterian is located at 119 West F Street.
The pastor is the Rev. Dr. Brian Wyatt.

First Christian
First Christian Church, Elizabethton, will have worship at 9:45 a.m. Sunday. The current message series is titled “Back to the Basics.”
Bible study is Wednesday at 6 p.m.
First Christian has a food pantry. Persons who need a food box are asked to call the church office to make an appointment at 542-5651.

First United Methodist
First United Methodist will celebrate the 75th anniversary of its preschool program Sunday at the morning service with the dedication of its newly refurbished playground.
All alumni of the pre-school are invited to attend after which a reception will be held in the church fellowship hall.
