The Elizabethton-Carter County Animal Shelter will be holding an after-hours adoption event on Thursday, Aug. 17, from 5 to 7 p.m. Shelter staff will be available to help anyone interested in adopting a loving pet find their perfect match.

Why adopt from the shelter? Because with a shelter pet you:
* Give a loving animal a home
* Get a pet that is up-to-date on all vaccinations
* Don’t have to worry about spay/neuter
* Know that your new friend has the best temperament to fit your lifestyle

Adoption fee for all dogs, cats, puppies and kittens will be $25. Puppies and kittens require a vet reference.

All area shelters are filled to capacity, so please come to the animal shelter to help these wonderful dogs and cats find forever homes.
