Retail stores in Downtown Elizabethton are excited to announce the launch of Shop Late Thursdays, a new initiative to support local businesses in the area. Starting Thursday, Sept. 7, 16 retail businesses and 10 studios and experiences in Downtown Elizabethton will stay open late on Thursday evenings, offering a unique shopping experience for residents and visitors alike.
Shop Late Thursdays is more than just a shopping event; it’s an opportunity to support the local economy and the community. In addition to late shopping hours, there will be a food truck and charity drives each week, giving shoppers a chance to enjoy some delicious food and support local charities at the same time.
For those interested in taking a class or getting their kids enrolled in a program, Downtown Elizabethton boasts three dance studios, a yoga studio, a massage studio, and two music studios. The Elizabethton Library will also be open late, and there will be occasional classes with Simple Blessings, August Muse, and Fletcher’s Homemade.
“We are thrilled to launch Shop Late Thursdays and offer a unique shopping experience to our community,” said Paula Augustine, owner of August Muse. “This initiative is a great way to support our local businesses and the community as a whole.”
