Bradley Ray Burks, 54, of Elizabethton, Tenn., went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at his mother’s home. Bradley was born in Camp Lejeune, N.C., to Shirley Bowers Burks of the home and the late Jerry Ray Burks. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Christopher Burks, and his maternal grandparents, Eugene and Wanda Bowers.
Bradley was an electronics engineer and enjoyed woodworking, gardening and working on any kind of electronics. He loved his family more than anything and enjoyed spending time making memories with them.
Those left to cherish and remember Bradley, in addition to his mother, include a sister, Tina Rainbolt, and several nieces and nephews, as well as an aunt and uncle.
A memorial for Bradley will be conducted at a later date. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations in Bradley’s honor to New Liberty Church Youth Fund or to the American Cancer Society. The family wishes to thank Amedysis Hospice for their care and compassion to Bradley during his illness.
