Plan to join Heart tribute band “Barracuda” beside the Covered Bridge Park with other Heart lovers of the region during a free concert Saturday, Aug. 26, on E. Elk Avenue. The Heart tribute band plans to rock out during “Rockin’ on the Doe” beginning at 7 p.m.

Sponsored by the Elizabethton Parks and Recreation, Carter County Bank, the Elizabethton Carter County Chamber of Commerce and Doubletree by Hilton, the event is the second annual event where a stage is placed on Elk Avenue in front of the monument so that concert goers can sit around and enjoy the music.

“Last year we had a Journey tribute band,” said Elizabethton Parks and Recreation’s Derrick Vines. “Throughout the summer we’ve had bands and this one is just a longer version of the kind we do on Saturday evenings.”
