GRAY – An ongoing partnership between the Appalachian Fair and the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee is set to turn compassion into action through a remarkable Food Drive Night. This dynamic collaboration aims to combat hunger while inviting fairgoers to exceed expectations and contribute to a transformative cause.

On Tuesday, Aug. 22, the gates of the Appalachian Fairgrounds will open wide for all who wish to partake in the Food Drive Night. The challenge is clear: bring at least three boxes or cans of non-perishable food items to uplift the mission of the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee. Yet, this isn’t a mere limit – it’s an invitation to surpass it, to make a greater impact against local hunger.

Your generosity deserves recognition and each donor will receive a valuable coupon booklet, granting them two FREE midway rides. Families are encouraged to share this heartwarming experience, with up to 4 ride booklets available per family. Look for the attentive Food Bank volunteers stationed at gates 1 and 5, who eagerly await your contributions. The call extends to an array of non-perishable food items, encompassing essentials such as peanut butter, canned meats, pasta, rice, and more. Kindly remember to leave glass containers behind.
