Billy Joe Frazier, 73, of Elizabethton, Tenn., passed away Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Johnson City Medical Center. He was the son of the late Walter and Essie Frazier. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Jody Frazier and Earl Frazier.
Billy retired after 20 years as a truck driver and had previously worked at Eastman for 15 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Billy was a member of Stoney Creek Baptist Church.
Those left to cherish his memory are his fiancée, Anita Perry, of the home; two sisters, Barbara Canter and Geraldine McNeil, both of Elizabethton; a brother, Robert Frazier (Marie) of Elizabethton; nieces, Amy McNeil of Jonesborough and Karen Sanders of Kentucky; his fur-baby, Sophie; nephews, Timmy Canter, Ted Canter, Travis Canter, Keith Frazier and Kevin Frazier, all of Elizabethton; and a step-son, Alex Perry of Roan Mountain.
A graveside service for Billy will be conducted at noon on Thursday, August 31, in the Blevins Cemetery with Pastor Lynn Pierce officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Those who wish to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 11:50 a.m. Thursday.
