Hours: Monday – Thursday: 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.; Friday: 8 a.m. – 12 noon.
The billiard room and fitness room are open and no appointments necessary.
Monday: Happy Labor Day. Senior Center is closed.
Tuesday: Matter of Balance, UT Extension Office, 9:30-11 a.m.; Fundraising Committee Meeting, 10 a.m.; Lunch – Meatloaf, 11 a.m.; Line Dancing with Instructor, Sharon Pilk, 12-2 p.m., $3.
Wednesday: Just Keep Movin’ – Cardio, Toning, Strength Building, Free, 9-10 a.m.; Craft: Beaded Fall Bracelet, 10 a.m.; Lunch – Chicken Spaghetti, 11 a.m.; Chair Yoga, 12:15-1:15 p.m., with Instructor, Shirley Gomillian, $3; Gentle-flow Yoga, 1:30-2:30 p.m., with Instructor, Cindy Brugnolett, $3.

Grandparents Raising Grandchildren – Are you raising a grandchild or even a great-grandchild? Grandparents Raising Grandchildren meets on the last Tuesday of every month at 10 a.m. at the Elizabethton Senior Center. Next meeting is September 26.

The Elizabethton Senior Center, partnered with First Tennessee Area Agency on Aging, is currently seeking an Options Counselor. The Center is accepting applications for a full-time Options Counselor position for 40 hours a week at $14.70 per hour plus an Insurance Stipend. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, administering in-home assessments/reassessments, maintaining files, completing care service plans, and entering data in computer software system. Travel will be required with mileage reimbursement. Preferred education is one of the following: LPN, Bachelor’s in Social Work, Psychology, or related field. Will consider applicants with a minimum completion of two (2) years’ attendance at an accredited college or university and a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in social work or related field.
