Valley Forge Free Will
Valley Forge Free Will Baptist Church will be showing the film “The Chosen” on Tuesday evening, beginning Sept. 12 at 6:30 p.m.
See Jesus through the eyes of those who knew Him as He works His miracles and embarks on His ministry to change the world.
The sessions will be led by Tim and Judy McAmis.
This evening, Sept. 9, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. a kickoff event for Samaritan’s Purse Shoebox Ministry will be held in the sanctuary. Guest speaker Ira Creek will share her testimony of how a shoebox changed her life.
Everyone is invited.
First Christian
First Christian Church has worship at 9:45 a.m. on Sunday. Bible study is held each Wednesday at 6 p.m.
Sunday, Sept.17, the congregation will begin a new study on the book of Titus. The sermons and Sunday School lessons will correlate with each other during this study.
First Baptist Church has a food pantry, and persons needing a food box are asked to call the church office at 542-5651 to make an appointment.
Michael Klaus is the minister.

Poplar Grove Baptist
Poplar Grove Baptist Church will celebrate homecoming Sunday, Sept. 10, at 11 a.m.
Special singing by Sacred Journey will be featured.
The pastor is Eric Wright.
Sinking Creek
Greg Patten from The Cross Church, Fort Wayne, Ind., will preach at the 11 a.m. service Sunday at Sinking Creek Baptist Church. Patten is pastor and founder of the The Cross Church and is well known for his work as an evangelist.
Chosen Road, a bluegrass gospel group, will sing at the 6 p.m. service.
Chuck Babb is pastor.
First Presbyterian
First Presbyterian Church, Elizabethton, will have an outdoor worship service and luncheon Sunday. The service will begin at 11 a.m., with lunch to follow.
The sermon will be presented by the pastor, the Rev. Brian Wyatt, whose message theme is “Why Church” based on Psalm 103.
Meditation is Wednesday at 7 p.m. and Adult Forum is at 9:30 a.m. Sunday.
First Presbyterian is located at 119 West F St.
Willow Springs
Willow Springs Baptist Church will celebrate homecoming Sept. 17. Preaching will begin at 10 a.m. and Sacred Harmony will sing at 11 a.m.
Lunch will be served following the song service.
There will be no evening service.
All former members and pastors are invited to the service.
Jacob Howell is serving the church as interim pastor.
