I am so very impressed with the Elizabethton-Carter County Animal Shelter. The staff is absolutely the best. They work tirelessly to ensure the residents are well taken care of. I stopped by to visit a few days ago. The feline area had around 150 cats – adults and kittens. The area had absolutely No Odor…how they can keep that many litter areas clean is impossible…yet they do it. The K-9 area was also filled. Kennels and crates were clean and fresh.
The staff has total dedication to the betterment of the animals.
As Bob Barker said, “Get your pets spayed and neutered…cut down on the pet population.”
The shelter can always use cleaning supplies, food, blankets and of course donations. The county could also set aside some extra donations to help ensure a warm winter for the animals.
