GREENEVILLE – The Niswonger Performing Arts Center presents an evening with the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra on Thursday, Nov. 2, at 7 p.m. Tickets to the second performance in this season’s free Community Concert Series will be available on a first come, first served basis beginning Friday, Sept. 15, at 10 a.m.
“Every important occasion in life must have music,” said the founder and first conductor of the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra (KSO), Bertha Walburn Clark. Formally established in 1935, the KSO is the oldest continually performing symphony orchestra in the Southeast. Now almost 90 years later, the KSO consists of 80 professional musicians, and performs 300 programs throughout the region each season, reaching audiences of more than 200,000 people. The KSO continues to develop and sustain a symphony orchestra of the highest artistic standards to reach East Tennessee audiences with excellent musical performance and education programs.
Enjoy a night out and celebrate the arts at NPAC as KSO presents a family-friendly evening of symphonic classics and modern favorites. Complimentary tickets may be requested online at www.npacgreeneville.com, in person at the NPAC box office, or by phone at (423) 638-1679.
