A Johnson County grand jury this week found Anthony Lawrence Johnson guilty of multiple sexual offenses involving a 16-year-child in July 2021. Johnson was 60 years old at the time of the offense.
Specifically, the jury found him guilty of rape, three counts of sexual battery by authority figure, statutory rape by an authority figure, and aggravated statutory rape.
Assistant District Attorneys Leon Marshall and Ryann Jeffers prosecuted the case.
Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 5, 2024. Johnson faces eight to 30 years for the rape count.
