Lucille Greene Reece Keller, 99, Elizabethton, passed away Friday, September 22, 2023, at Hermitage Health Center.
A native of Johnson County, she was born January 10, 1924 to the late David and Mary Isaacs Greene. She had lived in Carter County for several years. She was retired from Shadow Line Lingerie and Blowing Rock Country Club.
Lucille loved quilting, sewing, crocheting, fishing and playing golf. She was a member of Hunter Memorial Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Glenn Reece; her second husband, Carl Keller; three sons, Keith, Shelton and Robert Reece; four brothers, Tommy, Dwight, Jack and Richard Greene; and three sisters, Christine Greene, Jean Hayse and Kay Hagaman.
Survivors include a daughter, Katherine Lowe, Orlando, Fla.; a son, Lynn (Margaret) Reece, and her daughter-in-law; seven grandchildren, Erica Poteet and Jessica Reece, Gregory Reece, Timothy Reece, Phillip Reece, Robert Reece and Curtis Lowe; four great-grandsons, Trevor Christian, Cody Reece, Darris Reece and Colton Wilson; six great-granddaughters, Cassidi Reece Surcey, Jozey Reece, Adalynn Reece, Olena Reece, Annie Wilson and Koralee Reece; three great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Lillian McCoury; two brothers, Rhonda Greene and J.C. Greene; and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, September 28, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Doug Hartley officiating. Music will be provided by No Other Name. The graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be her grandsons, Gregory Reece, Timothy Reece, Phillip Reece, Robert Reece, Darris Reece and Cody Reece. Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Farrell, Pastor Doug Hartley and John Hartley. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of Hermitage Health Center for the excellent care she received during her stay there. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday prior to the service. Everyone will meet at the cemetery at 1:50 p.m. Thursday.
