GREENEVILLE – On October 14 at 7:30 p.m., one of country music’s mainstay groups, Shenandoah, will be making a stop on their Revival Tour in Greeneville at the Niswonger Performing Arts Center. Featured will be songs fueled by Marty Raybon’s distinctive vocals and the band’s skilled musicianship.
Shenandoah became well known for delivering such hits as “Two Dozen Roses,” “Church on Cumberland Road” and “Next to You, Next to Me” as well as such achingly beautiful classics as “I Want to be Loved Like That” and the Grammy winning “Somewhere in the Vicinity of the Heart” duet with Alison Krauss.
Shenandoah has recorded 10 studio albums (three certified Gold) and placed 26 singles on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart. The boys from Muscle Shoals have left a potent legacy at country radio with over a dozen No. 1 records and such enduring hits as “Ghost in This House,” “Rock My Baby,” “Janie Baker’s Love Slave,” “If Bubba Can Dance (I Can Too),” written by Raybon and McGuire, and “Her Leavin’s Been a Long Time Comin.”
Earlier this year, the band released “Revival,” the first song from their highly anticipated album. When the new album project arrives, it will be their first since their 2020 collaborations project, Every Road. That outing saw the band collaborating with country A-Listers including Lady A, Brad Paisley, Dierks Bentley, Blake Shelton, and more. Shenandoah just released a revamped rendition of their iconic 1989 anthem “Two Dozen Roses,” featuring a blockbuster set of guest vocals from Luke Combs.
“It’s a wonderful feeling to hit the road with the boys as we again return to radio with new music,” lead singer Marty Raybon says in a statement. “We are excited for what the year holds, now let’s have us a Revival!”
