The Green Pastures Group of Alcoholics Anonymous will meet at 8 p.m. at 411 East Elk Ave., Elizabethton.

• Saturday, October 7
A pancake breakfast will be held at Applebee’s in Elizabethton. The breakfast will serve as a fundraiser for ARM (Assistance and Resource Ministries, Inc.) Food Pantry and Clothing Closet. The breakfast will be held from 8 to 10 a.m. and the cost is $5 per person. Tickets are available from ARM board members or at the door.
Boozy Creek Community Center, 1989 Shelleys Road, Bristol, Va., (276-466-0026) will hold a Fish and Chicken Meal at 4 p.m. Music will be provided by Bill Copas and Steel Creek from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The food is fantastic food and the music is great. The Center has been having great attendance. Come early and enjoy an evening with friends at Boozy Creek. Door prizes will be given away at 4:45 p.m. by Cathy Baker. Weigh-in begins at 5:30-6:30 p.m. with the meeting starting at 6:45 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend these meetings.
