Barktoberfest is coming to downtown Elizabethton October 14 from 2 to 7 p.m. The event will be held in the Covered Bridge Park.
This is the third annual event and will feature a beer garden, vendors, food trucks, games, and contest.
Pet owners are invited to bring their dogs on leashes for this fun event in the park.
The schedule of activities include:
– 2:30 p.m. Pup Cake Walk
– 3 p.m. Puppy Costume (Dress up your pups that are one year and younger)
– 3:30 p.m. Pup Cake Walk
– 4 p.m. Strut Your Mutt (Let your dog flaunt their proud walk)
– 4:30 p.m. Pup Cake Walk
– 5 p.m. Best Trick (Handshakes to circus tricks and everything in between are welcome)
– 5:30 p.m. Pup Cake Walk
– 6 p.m. Doggy & Me Costume (Dogs of all ages are welcome to dress up in a costume coordinating with their owner.)
The event is hosted by Riverside Taphouse and Main Street Elizabethton and will benefit Pet Friendly Downtown and Friends of the Elizabethton-Carter County Animal Shelter.
