Halloween will soon be here and Sycamore Shoals State Historic Area is preparing for the event.
Scary Stories at Fort Watauga will be held Thursday, Oct. 26, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Strange things happen around Halloween, especially at an old fort by the river. The evening will feature family friendly stories, songs, and tales that are sure to send a shiver down your spine and tickle your funny bone.
Admission is free. Park personnel advise to bring a chair and dress warmly to ward off the chill.
