Leslie Eugenia Deloach Jenkins, 82, Elizabethton, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, October 9, 2023. She was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late Buck and Louise Markland Deloach.
Leslie was a graduate of Elizabethton High School. She was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church.
Leslie worked at the Berry Patch Day Care and loved working with children. Her hobbies were watching old westerns and reading her Bible.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Deloach, and a niece, Wendy McKinney.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry (Jennifer) Jenkins and Michael (Darlene) Jenkins; a sister, Sue McKinney; two grandchildren, Brian (Morgan) Jenkins and Brittany (Justin) Colbaugh; and four great-grandchildren, Bradley and Mia Jenkins, Hudson Colbaugh and Lucas Conley. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 14, at Happy Valley Memorial Park with the Rev. Walker Roberson officiating. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 10:20 a.m. Saturday, will be Jeff McKinney, Brian Jenkins, Justin Colbaugh, Brent Blackwell, Wendy Dooley, Rick Broome and Dan Stewart. Friends may also visit with the family at the residence of a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Jennifer Jenkins. A special “Thank You” to her neighbor and friend, Wendy Dooley, for all of her help and care throughout the years. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:20 a.m. Saturday to go in procession to the cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at our website, www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
