Ralph Wilson, 88, Elizabethton, passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at Signature Health.
A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Sol and Sarah Hayes Wilson.
Ralph was retired from Mapes Piano String. He loved hunting and gardening. In earlier years he was a member of the Good Neighbor Quartet. Ralph was a member of Caldwell Springs Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by eight brothers and one sister, Mike, Lonnie, Robert “Kay”, Vern, Johnny “Conway”, Edward “Ed”, Earnest and Grady Wilson and Ina Ward.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Roselita “Lee” Wilson; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sarah and Tom Mays and Lora and Jeffrey Honeycutt; three sons and daughters-in-law, Andy and Karen Wilson, Randy and Beth Wilson and Steven and Kim Wilson; his grandchildren, Danielle and Dustin Taylor, Kayla Wilson, Derrick and Brittney Wilson, EmmaGrace Wilson and Nicholas Wilson; two great-granddaughters, Sydney Taylor and Adlee Wilson; two sisters, Carolyn Miliam of Elizabethton and Liz Mercer of Texas; one brother, Arlie “Skip” Wilson of Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
The graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday, October 27, in the Blevins Cemetery with Pastor Tim Tapp and Pastor Eric Wright officiating. Active pallbearers will be Derrick Wilson, Dustin Taylor, Chris Wilson, Mason Wilson, Dejuane Sheffield and Austin Wilson. Honorary pallbearers will be Keith Wilson, Nicholas Wilson, Josh Stevens and members of the Sportsman Club. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the staff of Signature Health for the excellent care he received during his stay there.
