Boys & Girls Club of Elizabethton/Carter County hosted their third annual Trunk-or-Treat on Thursday, Nov. 26, at 6 p.m. The event sponsored by Eastman Credit Union is a colossal community event with close to 500 people in attendance.
“The communities we serve are very important to us. We appreciate the Boys & Girls Club for offering a fun and safe place for the kids of Elizabethton and Carter County to trick-or-treat and for allowing us the opportunity to sponsor such a great event,” said Kelly Price, President and CEO of Eastman Credit Union.
Children and family members dressed in spine-chilling costumes and waited in line to enter the club’s haunted gym. Cobwebs, flickering lights, and shadows played tricks on your eyes. The sounds of creaking doors, screams, and spooky music filled the air.
Local business owners and community members decorated tables that were overflowing with candy. Lacey Turbyfill, Club Director, said, “This is a fun event for club families and community members.”
The Boys & Girls Club of Elizabethton/Carter County thanks everyone who donated candy and their time to make trunk-or-treat a successful event. We wish the community a safe and fun Halloween.
